Service Administrator

The Role

Reporting directly to the Service Controllers, the Service Administrator role is a proactive and important member of the Glosrose Service Team with responsibility for all related enquiries. You will be responsible for all administrative and other tasks to ensure smooth running of the department, a high level of customer services. You must carry out your daily tasks ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, responding positively to the requests of the Service Controllers and working effectively as a member of the team. Your overall objective will be helping to achieve and ideally exceed the business plan of the department.

As a Service Administrator, you must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Communicate with customers by telephone or electronically whilst building rapport
  • Have a good understanding of both the customer's needs and available products, ensuring 
customer requirements are met.
  • Communicate with Service Engineers efficiently, both face to face and by telephone.
  • Understand their requirements to enable them to fulfil their role
  • Liaise with other Glosrose departments to assist with customer, engineer and sales requirements
  • Report specific service and performance data
  • Participate with department meetings when required. Communicate suggestions and
improvements to aid interdepartmental efficiency
  • Provide the relevant KPI report information
  • Participate in scheduled Engineer meetings providing discussion points and improvements for
both departments to develop efficient processes

Parts Advisor

Here at Glosrose we are looking for a Parts Advisor to join the team. We are a family run business and have been running since 1976. We are proud of the service we provide and are looking for an individual to add to our growing business.

We run a fast paced environment and working as a team is highly important to us.
We are looking for an individual who has experience working in a parts department, it is not a necessity to have experience in the Construction or Fork Lift Industry but advantageous if so.

You must be willing to learn, along with being proactive, reactive and adaptable to everyday work life here at Glosrose. With the ability to work on your own as well as within a team.

You would be an important member of the Glosrose Team and Parts Department with the responsibility for all parts related enquiries.

The role would be from Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. With possible overtime available.

If you are able to demonstrate the following we would like to hear from you:

  • To communicate with the customers both face to face and via telephone whilst building a rapport.
  • To have a good understanding of both the customer’s needs and available products, ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • To be able to identify and act upon opportunities to sell genuine parts and accessories. Additional products/ services whilst marketing current promotions by Glosrose.
  • To communicate with the Service Engineers efficiently, both face to face and by telephone.
  • To understand the Service Engineers parts requirements to enable them to fulfil their role.
  • To be able to liaise with Glosrose Sales and Service Department to assist with customer requirements.
  • Reporting to the Team Leader with sales and performance data.
  • To participate with department meetings when required. Contributing and communicating suggestions and improvements.
  • To provide any relevant KPI reports.
  • To carry out annual stock takes and reporting, in line with our ISO requirements.
  • Actively carry out scheduled marketing strategies for parts sales and consumables to new and existing customers.
  • To participate in scheduled Engineer Meetings providing discussion points and improvements for both department.

Mobile Field Engineer

Due to growth and investment within our company we have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated team player to join our team of specialist Engineers as a Mobile Service Engineer. The right candidate will benefit from manufacturer and in house training, as well as a competitive package and benefits.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will show the ability to use initiative and work independently, self-managing workloads whilst using high levels of communication with Service Controllers and the team of Engineers. The ability to liaise with customers and deliver high levels of customer service is imperative to the role.

The candidate will ideally possess;

  • Experience in a Service Engineer role or that similar,
  • Knowledge of IC engines, electric trucks, hydraulics or mechanical engineering,
  • Qualifications to a minimum of City and Guilds and NVQ level,
  • Qualification in PUWER/LOLER, and CSCS card would be advantageous but not essential,
  • Full clean driving license is required.

The candidate will ideally be available immediately.

The Role

As a multi skilled engineer you are required to maintain a wide range of mechanical handling, construction and access equipment. Based from home, you will attend customer sites and be confident in fault finding, diagnosis, achieving job completion, maintenance and repair a full range of Diesel, Electric and LPG forklift trucks. Customer liaison and reporting works carried out will be required.

Competitive basic salary (based on experience). Overtime available, plus benefits.

Specialist tools and PPE supplied.

20 days’ holiday increasing to a maximum 25 days after continuous service (not including bank holidays) Fully equipped company van with cleaning and tool allowance.
